The prime minister Yulia Timoshenko hopes that this week will carry out a business trip to Moscow for negotiations concerning the price of the Russian gas for Ukraine.
The head of the government declared it on Monday during a briefing, transfers Лига.net.
"I very much hope that to me will be possible to agree with the prime minister and the government of the Russian Federation and "Gazprom" and that I will be able to be this week with working visit in Moscow and to sign all necessary documents on supply of natural gas", - told Tymoshenko.
She also stated hope that will be able to sign the contract on supply of the Russian gas to Ukraine before the first reading in the Verkhovna Rada of the draft of the State budget for 2009.
"I can't speak about it with confidence, but I hope for it", - emphasized with Tymoshenko.
Before Tymoshenko declared that the government of Ukraine until the end of October plans to sign the long-term agreement with Russia about supply of natural gas to Ukraine.
On September 26, opening meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the president Victor Yushchenko demanded from the government to begin official negotiations with Russia in the gas sphere.
