Five candidates for a position of the Kiev mayor acted from an electoral race: Bogdan Kovtonyuk, Konstantin Zhol, Vladimir Goshovsky, Yury Klyuchinsky and Anatoly Vasilenko. All of them went on elections as independent candidates.

As the secretary of the Kiev city territorial election commission Yury Lozovsky reported, on May 20 late evening at meeting of the commission decisions on cancellation of registration of these candidates in connection with their declarations of abandonment were made to stand.

Lozovsky also reported that in the ballot on surnames of the specified candidates there will be a stamp "left".

According to Lozovsky, in terizbirky the declaration of abandonment of participation in elections of the mayor of the capital of Victor Mudryk (independent candidate) arrived also.

But, as the secretary of the commission told, this statement left without consideration as it is written in time, beyond possible removal from an electoral race, namely - on May 20 (submission of applications for removal of the candidate is limited for a period of 5 days till the election day, that is till May 20). The surname of this candidate won't be stamped in the bulletin and for it it is possible to vote. Lozovsky noted that such cases already were.

Elections of the Kiev mayor and Kiyevsovet's deputies will take place on May 25.

For participation in elections of the mayor there were zaregistrovano 79 candidates, from them in the ballot remained 69
