Today, on November 11, in the Nikolaev city hospital No. 4 the presentation magnitno - the nuclear resonant tomograph took place. In the Nikolaev area it already the second such tomograph - the first tomograph was installed in the Nikolaev regional hospital in 2007.
On solemn presentation of the new medical equipment there was the Nikolaev mayor Vladimir Chaika who got honor to cut a ribbon.
The mayor about confidence declared that "though he and Candidate of Technical Sciences, instead of medical, but can tell surely that acquisition of this tomograph very important for the city". The similar device was installed in regional hospital, then for its acquisition spent 7 million UAH. And this tomograph, productions of other firm, bought for 4 million UAH. Despite a difference in the price, the new tomograph is much better according to the characteristics and opportunities, than previous.
The doctor of medical sciences, professor Victor Sokolov who is the director general of DTs of "Yuzhukrmedtekhnologiya" - the basis for chair of radiodiagnosis and radiation therapy of the Odessa state medical university told about advantages and opportunities of the acquired tomograph.
He reported that the computer tomography is considered today one of the most exact methods of diagnostics, allowing in 98% of cases to establish the correct diagnosis.
This technique of inspection was widely adopted as it allows to diagnose practically all diseases from a brain to vessels of feet. Thin cuts of the image thickness of all half-millimeter give the chance to the doctor to understand any situation very precisely. It is possible to consider bronchial tubes, without entering into them the endoscope.
It is difficult, but very perspective in respect of carrying out differential diagnostics a technique. The computer tomography is almost irreplaceable at diagnostics of malignant tumors of different localizations. By means of the tomograph it is possible to survey not only adults, but also elderly people, and also small children.
Beam loading which the person receives during inspection, minimum, it is much lower, than that which the person receives when passing X-ray.
After Nikolaev heard the mayor declared that he is ready to pass the first inspection by the tomograph. "Fix time - I am always ready! ", - Vladimir Chaika told.
