The president Victor Yushchenko urges bankers to agree about normalization of work of the interbank credit market.

He told about it during meeting with the management of NBU and bankers.

"We need to strengthen the interbank relations, to come to any tools. Let's agree what. But resource dialogue between banks has to begin. Because if we won't find a way how to connect commercial banks, we start pressing on National bank and it starts forming issue", - the President told.

He also noted that not functioning of the interbank credit market leads to excess issue of hryvnia resources by National bank that bears additional threats financially - economic stability.

"Excess water even in a boot disturbs. We shouldn't create excess issue of the central bank. At first we have to extinguish everything that is possible in the interbank credit market - supply and demand... And we on the contrary have a National bank ahead, Mezhbank dead - each other isn't trusted, superliquidity of 15 billion hryvnias. What remains? The currency market", - was told by the President.

He stated concern about formation of considerable demand for a foreign currency in the interbank currency market owing to the above problems.

As it was reported, at currency auction on November 19 NBU sold 658 million dollars.

On November 20 NBU doesn't intend to take part in the auction in the interbank currency market.
