Damen Shipyards Okean was renamed into Wadan Yards Okean

The shipbuilding plant Damen Shipyards Okean is renamed into Wadan Yards Okean.

Such decision is made at meeting of shareholders of the company on December 10.

At the same meeting of shareholders the plant exempted from fulfillment of duties of the president Nikolay Romanchuk. Romanchuk is appointed the director general of the company to 2 years.

Romanchuk owns 0,01% of shares of the company.

Also shareholders appointed the finance director - the first deputy director general Alexander Shamraya who held earlier a position of the finance director of Damen Shipyards Okean.

Earlier new owner of shipbuilding plant Damen Shipyards Okean (Nikolaev) Wadan Yards group of companies declared intention to rename plant into Wadan Yards Okean.

Damen Shipyards Okean in August, 2008 exempted from fulfillment of duties of the president Alexander Shamraya, having appointed instead of it the acting president of Nikolay Romanchuk.

Wadan Yards owns 3 shipyards, 2 from which are in Germany, 1 in Ukraine (Nikolaev), is also acquired the 4th design - the bureau, one of which in Nikolaev.

In September of Aker Yards Ukraine Holding it was renamed into Wadan Yards.

The Norwegian shipbuilding company Aker Yards in March, 2008 decided to sell 70% of the Aker Yards Ukraine Holding company which owns shipbuilding plant Damen Shipyards Okean (Nikolaev) Russian "The federal leasing company" (FLK).

The Wadan Yards Okean enterprise is open joint stock company, specializes on production and repair of container carriers, tankers, tows, barges with the displacement up to 350 thousand tons.
