On Saturday, January 17, the governments of Ukraine and Russia will hold negotiations on a gas question.
As reported management on communications with mass media of the secretariat of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, at 24 o'clock telephone conversation the prime minister - the minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko with the prime minister - the minister of Russia Vladimir Putin took place on January 14. During conversation the agreement on carrying out on Saturday in Moscow of negotiations of the governments of two countries on a gas question was reached.
During conversation the concept of removal of all problems in a gas question was discussed. The prime minister - ministers of Ukraine and Russia also discussed conditions of the beginning of transit of the Russian natural gas to EU countries.
Thus the prime minister - the minister Yulia Timoshenko sent to the head of the Russian government Vladimir Putin the urgent telegram in which guaranteed that all volume of natural gas which Russia will supply in the Ukrainian gas transmission system, will be delivered to the European Union countries, except for 8% for gas which is used for operation of gas-distributing units of transport system.
In this telegram the Government of Ukraine provides to the Government of Russia also a guarantee concerning payment of natural gas which will be used on technical requirements, right after establishment of the price of the Russian natural gas for Ukraine.
Dialogue the prime minister - ministers of Ukraine and Russia was constructive that gives hope for the solution of all problems which have been saved up in a gas question. Yulia Timoshenko considers that finding of a compromise is possible.
