The mayor Chaika and the governor Garkusha visited on a visit at Tymoshenko

Today, on January 15, in Kiev the meeting the Prime minister - the minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko with governors and mayors of the regional cities took place. At meeting there was also Nikolaev mayor Vladimir Chaika and the governor of the Nikolaev area Alexey Garkusha.

The prime minister - the minister scarified a number of areas for considerable decrease in industrial production following the results of 2008, she noted that these indicators directly depend on quality of work of local government.

In Ukraine recession of industrial production in December, 2008, in comparison with December, 2007, according to Goskomstat, made 26,6%. In January - December, 2008 against the similar period of 2007 recession at the level of 3,1% is recorded. Inflation in Ukraine for 2008 made 22,3%, in December - 2,1%.

Also Yulia Timoshenko demanded from governors that they with use of levers of tax administration achieved reduction of prices of food. In particular, Tymoshenko paid attention to different indicators of inflation in regions.

The prime minister warned governors that will take nonconventional measures because some regions set up "inflationary records".

"We will carry out social campaign where in rollers we will speak: "In one area of price of medicines lower, than in another" or "In one area oil costs so much, and in another - there is so much". And you will daily see it", - declared at Tymoshenko's meeting.

At the same time she told that is adjusted on dialogue with governors. "Each your call to me will have on the same day feedback if I immediately am not able to answer", - the prime minister promised.
