In the secretariat of the president declare that, despite the decision of the Verkhovna Rada, Vladimir Stelmakh remains the lawful head of National bank.
The first deputy head of the secretariat of president Alexander Shlapak told journalists about it on Monday, reports UNIAN.
According to him, also within the law on the post there is also a first deputy head of National Bank Anatoly Shapovalov who fulfills duties of head of NBU.
Thus Shlapak noted that such decision of parliament will create a serious panic in the cash and non-cash currency market.
He considers anticonstitutional the decision of the Verkhovna Rada on dismissal of the management of National Bank.
According to him, thus all becomes to distract public attention from unsuccessful "gas negotiations".
Besides, according to Shapoval, such actions the government wants to get access to possibility of uncontrollable issue of hryvnia for a covering of deficiency and not receipts in the state budget of 2009.
In turn Shapovalov declared that he continues to fulfill duties of the head of National Bank, and Stelmakh went on leave for 30 days.
It is known that the Verkhovna Rada cancelled the resolution from 2004 about Stelmakh's appointment as chapter NBU.
