The European Union, appears, 1,7 billion euro to Ukraine didn't promise

The European Union didn't make the decision concerning allocation to Ukraine billion EUR1,7 for fight against crisis.

It became known of it in a course a press - conferences in representation of the European Commission in Kiev, the Czech Republic devoted to presidency in EU.

Answering a question of journalists of allocation of EU of funds for overcoming of consequences of crisis, the chief representative of EK José Manuel Pintu Teysheyra told: "I don't think that such information could proceed from me, my colleagues or from someone other official European Commission representative".

In turn, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed that really EU concerning allocation to the Ukrainian state of means didn't make any decision, and explained that speech of the president of France Nicolas Sarkozy in European Parliament wasn't so understood.

As it was told, in December, 2008 to N. Sarkozy, speaking in Strasbourg at European Parliament session, I suggested EU to allocate to Ukraine the financial help for fight against crisis in the size of EUR1,7 of billion

The ambassador of France in Ukraine Jacque Faure specified to the Ukrainian journalists that the specified means of the European Union are supposed to be used mainly on support of the banking sector and industrial production in Ukraine.

Earlier support to Ukraine for crisis overcoming already was given by the International Monetary Fund which approved the credit of $16,5 billion
