The committee of the Verkhovna Rada concerning national security and defense made the decision to recommend to parliament not to support the nomination of the acting as the chairman of Security service of Ukraine of Valentyn Nalyvaichenko for a position of the chairman of SBU.
Nalivchaychenko told journalists about it.
"The committee made the decision to recommend, I so think, in a plenary mode not to support Nalivaychenko's nomination", - he told.
Thus he didn't specify the argument of such decision.
Nalivaychenko noted that the SBU and will be engaged further in service democratization, and also declassification archival (till 1991) documents.
According to him, the SBU remains the pro-Ukrainian and pro-presidential structure.
As it was reported, on January 29 the deputy of Rada, the chairman of committee on national safety Anatoly Gritsenko ("Our Ukraine — National Self-defense" block fraction) predicted that the parliament will consider a question of Nalivaychenko's appointment as the head of SBU at meeting on Thursday, February 5.
On January 15 the President Victor Yushchenko again suggested Rada to appoint Nalivaychenko the chairman of SBU.
