At cabinet council of ministers on February 11, 2009 members of the government intend to adopt the resolution concerning support of small agriculture. The prime minister reported to journalists about it at meeting in Cabinet of Ministers - the minister Yulia Timoshenko, the correspondent of RBC - Ukraine reports. According to her, small agricultural households in which property there are no more than 2 hectares of the earth, provide considerable part of the food in the state, in particular, they provide need for potatoes for 100%, in vegetables - for 86%, in meat - for 51%.
At the same time such households have no support from the state. Therefore the prime minister suggested to create all conditions of sale of small households on "the shortest model". She noted that for today to direct producers of agricultural production opportunity to realize the goods in the markets in the cities as peasants are compelled to resell the production to dealers at much lowest price is, actually, blocked, marked out Yu.
