Gas quarrel didn't close to Ukraine a door to Europe

Gas crisis didn't do much harm integration of Ukraine into the European Union, declare in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

I reported about it at a briefing on Monday a press - the secretary the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich, transfers "Interfax - Ukraine".

According to him, in Prague passed meeting Ukraine - EU in a three format with participation the head of foreign policy departments of Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Sweden.

"The European party once again emphasized that gas crisis which took place in January, didn't do much harm to dynamics of development of the relations between Ukraine and EU, and on the contrary gave new positive dynamics in the relations", - Kirilich told.

According to him, the meeting once again proved that the parties find full mutual understanding in search of mechanisms of gradual integration of Ukraine in EU.

Besides, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Ogryzko brought up a question of need of liberalization of a visa regime between Ukraine and EU, and also implementation of all points of the agreement on the simplified visa regime.

The question of cancellation of a payment for Schengen visas for Ukrainians, and prospect of visa-free trips of citizens of Ukraine to EU countries was discussed also.

The Ukrainian party at a meeting emphasized that she would like that negotiations on a visa-free regime came to the end till 2012.

At meeting some other the questions concerning cooperation of Ukraine and EU in 2009 also was discussed.
