The prime minister - the minister Yulia Timoshenko intends to request to the European Union carrying out examination of the gas contracts signed between Ukraine and Russia.
She told about it at a briefing.
"I will address just tomorrow with the missive to the European Union that they made examination of the signed contracts", - told Tymoshenko.
Thus the prime minister emphasized that gas agreements are very favorable as gas price for Ukraine is smaller, than for other countries, except Belarus.
"Them (experts of EU) conclusions will testify to about what I speak, and other conclusions can't be", - the prime minister is sure.
Thus she also noted that in comparison with Poland Ukraine in 2010 will buy gas 26% cheaper.
As it was reported, on January 19 National joint stock company "Neftegaz of Ukraine" and "Gazprom" signed contracts on supply of gas to Ukraine and its transit for 2009-2019.
The transit rate on 2009 remains at the level of 1,7 dollars for thousand CBM on 100 km, the price for Ukraine in 2009 is reconsidered quarterly on a formula which ties gas cost to the price of gasoil and fuel oil, taking into account 20%-oh discounts.
"Neftegaz" declared that according to a formula on transit of the gas, put in the contract with Russian "Gazprom" and which will start acting since 2010, the transit rate for 50% will depend on the cost of gas delivered in Ukraine.
