On February 26, 2009, at 13.00, in executive committee of city council conference on the subject "Introduction of Energy Saving Technologies in the City of Voznesensk" took place.
This conference took place within the "Development and Deployment of Technologies of "Green" Resource-saving Power in Voznesensk" project in which realization the public Organization "Agency of Economic Development of Voznesensk" and the Municipal enterprise "Sanitary Cleaning of the City" is engaged.
Representatives of Fund took part in conference Eastern Europe, representatives of other cities of Ukraine, deputies of city council and heads of the enterprises of the budgetary sphere who will be involved in implementation of projects of energy saving technologies. Representatives of local mass media.
With an opening speech the representative of public Organization "Agency of Economic Development of Vonesensk" With presentation of projects power acted - and resource-saving technologies the city chairman Gerzhov Yu.I. acted.
According to him "only those cities which introduce today energy saving technologies and are freed from gas dependence, have opportunity to stand in a modern economic crisis when for 2 years the cost of gas increased by 5 times".
For this reason on February 10, 2009 the city of Voznesensk became the member of Association of the energy saving cities of Europe which organizational meeting took place recently in Brussels.
The mayor informed present on the main steps which are taken by the city power for non-volatility of the city:
- remaintaining 85% of apartments and private houses on individual heating;
- remaintaining 25% of the budgetary establishments on the combined heating by the electric power at night at preferential prices and firm fuel in the afternoon;
- boiler room construction in Kibrik's museum for heating by wood waste;
- building of the cogeneration installation for production of own thermal and electric energy;
- use of solar batteries for kindergarten No. 2 heating;
- reconducting the budgetary establishments on use of power economical lamps and lamps;
- complex design on processing of solid household waste with further production of liquid fuel and gas;
- design of geleobarichny power plant which will work at solar energy and energy of air streams;
- complex design on processing of organic waste in gas fuel;
- termodernization of houses for the purpose of more economical expenditure of energy carriers for heating.
