According to the director of a zoo Vladimir Topchiya, let leopards into new open-air cages which were made together with the Nikolaev aluminous plant.
- Of three open-air cages made two, broadened them, provided all necessary conditions for the maintenance of these cats. Cats rare, are brought in the International Red List, - he noted. - The male from the French city of Zhurk, is the South of France, it very long went. At first caged him, then stopped by in Salzburg, it is Austria, took a female and with the God's help arrived here. Both of them 2013-го years, only they have a month of a difference. We hope that everything will be good.
Thus Topchy added that animals were received free of charge according to the European program for reproduction, the zoo paid only transportation which cost 3 thousand 200 euros. Further, as he noted, the issue concerning payment of customs duty which will make about 8 thousand hryvnias will be resolved. The director of a zoo considers it unfair.
- We after all brought them not to trade in the market, it not chicken ham, but rare animals for reproduction, for cultivation. Especially it is the European program, - he declared.
