Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning health care and Rinat Akhmetov's Charity foundation "Development of Ukraine" prepare new edition of the law on fight against tuberculosis.
As the correspondent of the UNIAN reports, the chairman Tatyana BAKHTEEVA reported it about it in Dnepropetrovsk within carrying out exit meeting of BP committee.
According to her, the current law is adopted in 2001, and has to be unambiguously reconsidered.
"In the new edition the law we will determine the rights of patients by tuberculosis, and the rights of medics which annually catch from - for contact with patients", - noted T.BAHTEEVA.
According to the chairman of the BP committee, separate article of new edition of the law will define legal responsibility for persons who have tuberculosis, but aren't treated.
T.BAHTEEVA noted that today such patient can be treated, and can not be treated, force to be treated it is impossible even the patients released from places of imprisonment.
"These people freely move on the territory of Ukraine and contact to healthy people in a life. I consider that legal responsibility for such persons is important for the country and its population", - emphasized T.BAHTEEVA.
