The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has provided to Nikolaev permission to allocation of 10 hectares of the earth near the existing cemetery in Kalinovke, however different structures which aren't in management of city executive committee slow down registration process.
The mayor Alexander Senkevich has told about it on Monday, October 10, during expanded hardware, reports department of information support of the Nikolaev city council.
"We have a huge problem with the cemetery. Places for burial have just ended. We have got permission from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine about allocation of 10 hectares of the earth near the existing cemetery in Kalinovke today. But different structures which aren't in management of city executive committee slow down this process. Let's bring coffins and to put to them under doors. So far empty", - Alexander Senkevich has declared.
The director of KP "Nikolaev Ritual Service" has told about where it is possible to carry out burials now.
"For this time the Balabanovsky cemetery is filled completely, there remained only a few units of places for burial. Today the equipment has come out to the new matveevsky cemetery for preparation of places for burial by machine digging. It is clear, that not all deads will be buried in this cemetery, we will try to distribute, do podkhoroneniye both in Balabanovke, and in Meshkovke, and at cemeteries it is less. So far the novomatveevsky cemetery is our reserve which will allow to do burials in the nearest future. For reception of processions and burials at this cemetery everything is ready", - Mikhail Trofanyuk, the director of KP "Nikolaev Ritual Service" has assured.
The mayor has given an assignment to Mikhail Trofanyuk to prepare the plan of arrangement of the cemetery on lands, aloof the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, having emphasized that is just improbable that the city authorities managed to receive these lands in wartime.
Let's remind, in 2015 the Nikolaev city council has made the decision to give for the cemetery the territory down the street Hersonskoye Highway between Nikolayev and the settlement the Ground under the new city cemetery. However, residents of the settlement, having learned about it in 2016 when Department of housing and public utilities has signed the contract for 16 million hryvnias on construction of the cemetery, have protested against it. As a result the mayor of Nikolaev has declared that in this place there will be no cemetery. However, as the director of KP «reportedNikolaev ritual service» Mikhail Trofanyuk, time until when the city has place for burials–till June, 2016, that is it is exhausted already today, and the city, as he has told, «will choke in corpses» .
Also earlier it was reported that the mayor of Nikolaev Alexander Senkevich declared that in Nikolaev the possibility of recultivation of the cemetery is considered.
