The ambassador of France in Ukraine Jacques of Faure urges the authorities of Ukraine to observe fundamental freedoms in political life and work of mass media.

It sounded such position in interview "To profile".

"Among expectations from Ukraine - the moments concerning functioning of mechanisms of the constitutional state, observance of fundamental freedoms and human rights, real pluralism in political life and work of mass media.. Our sincere desire that at all there was no kickback back. With regret I can note that there are certain certificates not absolutely positive development of a situation in these spheres", - the ambassador declared.

"In particular, it is possible to point to certain attempts to neglect the rules defining participation of these or those forces in political life of the country. In my opinion, there is no vital need to change the text of laws before each election campaign", - told Faure.

"From my point of view, mixture of roles by some representatives of the government isn't absolutely pertinent. In particular, I mean SBU which, in my opinion, now is present practically at all spheres of life of the country. This tendency is abnormal and causes serious concern", - the ambassador noted.
