The head of known agricultural enterprise in Ukraine declares that the European officials intend to deprive of possibility of the Ukrainian traders and farmers to earn on grainexport
Falling prices of corn in Europe compelled the European officials to enter duties for import grain into EU, the commissioner for EU agriculture Marian Fischer Boyle declared. The decision is made, it was necessary to approve it as the European Commission directive formally. For the Ukrainian grain business such barrier, created to export to EU, threatens with further falling of the prices in domestic market, an overload of capacities for storage of grain and threatens carrying out a sowing campaign of the next year.
For the Ukrainian landowners of duty of EU mean loss about a third of the market of export. Before two thirds of the Ukrainian grain was on sale to the countries of Africa and East Asia. In these markets as the main competitor to the Ukrainian grain the Russian acts. "We can't compete better wheat and lower prime cost of grain with Russia. After all they have making prime costs - oil products, the electric power, metal, fertilizers - are cheaper, and they can offer not at a loss to landowners lower price", - the director general of agricultural enterprise "Nibulon" Alexey Vadatursky speaks.
