The International Monetary Fund urges Ukraine to pursue an open trade policy. It during the third forum "Europe-Ukraine" was declared by the chairman of representation of the IMF in Ukraine Max Alyer, transfers radio "Svoboda". "For Ukraine... it is very important to leave the markets open. It isn't necessary to create barriers in trade and to be engaged in protectionism", - he told.
According to M. Alyer, the economic capacity of Ukraine considerable and, despite essential negative influence of world financial crisis on national economy, renewal of stability it is possible at normalization of a macroeconomic situation in Ukraine.
The representative of the IMF called important realization in Ukraine of projects in the energy efficiency sphere, and also infrastructure projects. Among economy branches which have the greatest potential, it called metallurgy and agriculture.
