The day before it became known that the prosecutor's office of the Nikolaev area cancelled the state search of the Homeland party leader, the former deputy of the Odessa City Council Igor Markov. Anjelica Demyanova reported about it the cofounder of public organization "Free Odessa".
"We today (on September 21. - Editions) were in the State Office of Public Prosecutor and told them that the prosecutor's office of the Nikolaev area removed Markov from search, - she told the newspaper, having added that in GPU very much to it were surprised. - They at once checked our information, and it was confirmed".
We will remind, in March, 2008 the prosecutor's office of Odessa region brought concerning Markov criminal case on h. 2 Art. 296 of UK ("malicious hooliganism") on charge of beating of the participant of meeting of the All-Ukrainian association "Freedom" on September 2, 2007. And on September 11, 2009 mister Markov was put on the wanted list of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nikolaev area. Such decision was made because it wasn't on September 10 on interrogation to the investigator in Nikolaev.
Of militia were sure that Igor Markov didn't leave the territory of Ukraine. Press - the secretary of "Homeland" Alexander Hristoforov told the edition that the party leadership doesn't know where there is her leader, but his absence isn't connected with that it is looked for by militia.
According to Demyanova, now the State Office of Public Prosecutor finds out who exactly in prosecutor's office of the Nikolaev area gave command to cancel Markov's search. "The deputy general prosecutor Nikolay Golomsha promised to us personally to check the solution of this question", - she told.
It wasn't succeeded to receive the comment in the State Office of Public Prosecutor yesterday. However in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anjelica Demyanova's information confirm. "Yes, it (Igor Markov. - Editions) really removed from search", - reported to the edition a source in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
