Medvedko doesn't advise falsifiers of elections to push luck

The public prosecutor Alexander Medvedko warns about criminal liability for violation of electoral laws.

About it it is spoken in Medvedko's article in the Golos Ukrainy newspaper, report the Ukrainian news.

Medvedko assures that bodies of prosecutor's office saved up sufficient experience of adequate response to violation of electoral laws.

"We possess rather powerful, provided current legislation of Ukraine an arsenal of forces and means that gives the chance to us to protect effectively a human right on free elections of the head of state. Thus, I advise nobody to push luck", - the public prosecutor writes.

He wished to Ukrainians that the next presidential elections took place freely and democratically, in strict accordance with legislation requirements.

Medvedko hoped that "wisdom, reason and tolerance of the Ukrainian people will give the chance to it to make a free fatal choice without public prosecutor's intervention".

It reminds that, according to the Criminal code, hindrance to electoral right implementation on preliminary arrangement by a group of persons or the member of election commission is punished by imprisonment for a period of 2 till 5 years.

Forgery of selective documents, and also use of obviously counterfeit selective documents by the member of election commission is punished by imprisonment from 3 to 5 years.
