It was declared by the head of board of NAK Naftogaz Ukrainy Oleg Dubina in Bloomberg interview, reports "Interfax - Ukraine".

"I am deeply convinced that we shouldn't raise a payment for gas transit through the territory of Ukraine for "Gazprom" because it will lead to even bigger rise in prices for the gas delivered on domestic market", - explained the Cudgel.

He declared that growth of the price of the natural gas delivered from Russia to Ukraine, in 2009 "won't be higher, than in the previous three years".

Conclusion process between "Naftogaz of Ukraine" and contract "Gazprom" on supply of natural gas to Ukraine next year, according to the Cudgel, can be tightened up to December 31.

"We, probably, even will benefit from this because gas prices fall, and this trend will proceed in 2009. Therefore we can receive more acceptable price if we sign the contract towards the end of a year", - he told.

Thus the head of "Naftogaz of Ukraine" assured that the company will fulfill obligations for transit of natural gas from Russia to Europe.

The state holding, according to him, plans to provide transit of 130 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2008 and to receive about 2 bln. dollars as fee on transit.

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" provides services in transit of natural gas through Ukraine only to "Gazprom" and affiliated with Rosukrenergo concern. Other companies don't carry out transit of natural gas across the territory of Ukraine.

"Naftogaz of Ukraine" since January 1, 2006 raised a rate of a payment for transit of gas across the territory of Ukraine for "Gazprom" and "Rosukrenergo" from 1,09375 dollars to 1,6 dollars, and since January 1, 2008 - to 1,7 dollars for 1 thousand CBM on 100 km of distance.
