The purpose of visit is discussion of updating of the concept of military cooperation Ukraine - NATO, conditions of preparation of military aspects of the annual national program Ukraine - NATO, and also a state and prospects of working off of the draft of the working plan of military committee Ukraine - NATO for 2010-2011
Besides, at negotiations of delegation of NATO with the Ukrainian party will there be a speech about participation of divisions of Armed forces of Ukraine in peacekeeping operations under the direction of NATO, a state and prospects of involvement of the Ukrainian military to forces of reaction of Alliance and their participation in multinational doctrines.
We will remind, on March 5 of this year at a meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the countries - participants of NATO in Brussels the US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton expressed opinion that the North Atlantic alliance should leave a door open for the entry of such states, as Ukraine and Georgia.
In January the secretary general of Alliance Jaap de Hoop Scheffer declared that NATO can resume discussions about accession of Ukraine to PDCh in December, 2009
On December 2, 2008 at a meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of NATO member states Ukraine it was refused granting PDCh. Instead of this NATO founded the annual national program for our country. As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vladimir Ogryzko declared then, thus Ukraine - the fact received PDCh. He noted that annual national programs are a basic element of practical implementation of the plan of action on membership in NATO.
