Litvin declares that without the aid of the USA we are waited by "the second Chernobyl"

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Litvin considers that the parliament has to address to the USA concerning the situation which has developed with utilization of firm rocket fuel in Pavlograd to the Dnepropetrovsk area.

I reported a press about it - service of the Verkhovna Rada.

Staying in Dnepropetrovsk, Litvin declared that it is necessary to take immediate measures for situation correction that there was no the accident similar Chernobyl.

The speaker noted that for utilization of rocket fuel it is necessary to allocate 40 million hryvnias what at present to make very difficult, in connection with falling of economy and industrial production.

Litvin considers as one of problem solutions the appeal to the international community.

"Papers, declarations will suffice, concrete decisions are necessary, the parliament position which has to rely on moods and needs of people" is necessary, - Litvin told.

He emphasized that for correction of a situation it is necessary to undertake resonant actions.

In January the State enterprise "Scientifically - the Pavlograd Chemical Plant production association appealed to the Ministry of Defence of the United States of America to finance part of the program of utilization of firm rocket fuel.

Earlier director general of PHZ Leonid Shiman declared insufficient financing of state programs for utilization of firm rocket fuel. According to him, in the state budget for 2009 financing in 12,6 million hryvnias instead of the hryvnias planned before 197,1 million is put.

In November 2002 chemical plant together with Washington Group International corporation established skilled installation on utilization of rocket fuel.

In June, 2003 of the Ministry of Defence of the USA stopped realization at Pavlograd chemical plant of the project on utilization of the fuel extracted from intercontinental ballistic missiles CC-24.

On September 22, 2004 the Cabinet approved new edition of a state program on utilization of rocket fuel at Pavlograd chemical plant which provides construction of a full-scale complex on fuel utilization on PHZ in 2008.

The Pavlograd chemical plant is engaged in utilization of metal junks (participates in the comprehensive program of the Ministry of Defence on utilization of rockets and ammunition), and also production and realization of explosives.
