Tymoshenko promised to help Russia with the WTO

The prime minister Yulia Timoshenko promises to promote the entry of Russia into the World Trade Organization.

She told about it during meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Ukraine and Russia on economic cooperation, reports Regional committee with reference to the Ukrainian news.

"We will make everything, that Russia... I could become the member of the WTO", - the prime minister declared.

According to Tymoshenko, Ukraine tries to minimize protectionist measures and barriers at trade with Russia.

"In my opinion, modern conditions force us to refuse excessive protectionism", - she emphasized.

Thus the prime minister noted that the economic crisis affected commodity turnover size between the countries, however it is necessary to use the best efforts in order that commodity turnover returned on level at which it was prior to crisis.

The prime minister emphasized importance of work of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation for development Ukraine - the Russian relations.
