Vice-chairman of the Verkhovna RadaNikolay Tomenkonotes reduction of a role of committees in parliament decision-making.
He told about it at a seminar "Activity of modern European parliament: practice, experience, problems".
"In my opinion, one of serious problems of modern Ukrainian parliament, and not only this convocation, the problem of reduction of the status and a role of committees of the Verkhovna Rada, increase of the statuses of fractions is, in particular, during sessional meeting", - Tomenko told.
In his opinion, society it is necessary to pay more attention to work in committees as exactly there pass the main discussions according to legislative decisions of parliament.
Besides, Tomenko reported that the secretariat of Rada and "Westminster fund "For Democracy" signed on March 11 the memorandum of understanding according to which the parties agreed to cooperate in realization 4 - the summer program for preparation and improvement of shots of the office of parliament.
According to him, on the basis of this memorandum on Thursday this joint seminar with the assistance of deputies of Rada, members of delegation of parliament of Great Britain, the office of Rada is held.
Tomenko hoped that representatives of parliament of Great Britain will share experience of activity of a two-chamber parliament because in Rada the project of changes of the Constitution, brought by the President Victor Yushchenko, providing creation of a two-chamber parliament is registered.
Besides, among problems of work of Rada 6-го Tomenko's convocation I noted fall of professionalism of a depuy corps and low representation of women.
Thus among achievements of present parliament vice-the speaker noted his greatest democratic character and self-criticism among all convocations.
