Rada appointed date of presidential elections

The Verkhovna Rada appointed an election of the president of Ukraine to January 17, 2010.

For the resolutionVladimir Litvin399 deputies voted.

The speaker before vote urged to apprehend this date as a reality. He also asked to remove points on 90 days on election campaign and an order of the Central Election Commission concerning the register of voters. They will be issued as an assignment.

"The resolution historical also has to answer accurately to the Constitution", - he declared.

The resolution comes into force from the date of publication.

Gennady Moskal's resolution about purpose of elections for November 22 supported 45 deputies.

was by mistake highlighted on January 31, 2009

It is known that several months ago Rada appointed elections to October 25, but the Constitutional Court recognized this date illegal.
