The president of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko intends to charge to the government to solve finally problems of elimination of accident in the Strait of Kerch. He declared it during a meeting with the minister of emergency situations and for protection of the population against consequences of Chernobyl accident by Vladimir Shandra and the mayor Kerch Oleg Osadchim.
Yushchenko expressed concern about rates of works which are conducted on a place on elimination of ecological consequences of accident.
"We can lose a resort season. It is accident of the state scale and reaction has to be itself high", - the president emphasized.
Yushchenko suggested to create the working group headed by the deputy minister concerning emergency situations and the mayor which has to, having estimated a situation on a place, to develop the plan of measures on final elimination of consequences of accident, including to count the necessary sum of expenses on these works. The working group has to leave to the Crimea on Saturday, June 28.
"Money is very important but if there is no organization, they won't solve this problem", - the president noted.
In return, the mayor of Kerch lifted problems of financing of these works.
According to him, financing from the state budget is insufficient, and, therefore, from city budget on it directed over 12 million hryvnias.
In this regard the head of state emphasized that will give one more assignment to the Cabinet immediately to allocate funds for overcoming of consequences of accident.
"I give an assignment to the government for the third time to consider this question and fully it to finance", - Yushchenko told.
As reported a press - service of the president, participants of a meeting also discussed a question of utilization of oil products by which environment as a result of accident was polluted.
