Investors told why are afraid of Ukraine

The unstable political situation in Ukraine is a limiting factor for the international investors.

It was declared by the deputy director of the European Reconstruction and Development Bank in Ukraine Graeme Hutchison at the International investment forum in Kharkov, reports Radio "Svoboda".

The new wave of instability will be brought, according to him, by future presidential election.

Nevertheless, the European Reconstruction and Development Bank plans and to support further Ukraine, in particular, next year the organization intends to increase investments into the country almost by 400 million euros.

It means that in 2010 the sum of injections will exceed 1 billion euro. Money will go, in particular, to programs to power branches.

"We not charitable organization, and commercial bank. Therefore we have to be convinced that the borrower is financially healthy and viable, and also that he is rather transparent chooses the contractors", - Hutchison noted.

Transparency, stability, predictability and the rule of law - four whales on whom the policy of Ukraine has to be based, - the adviser of board European noted in turn Business of Association of Jorge Intriago.

According to him, investors still remember tax privileges which suddenly cancelled, and also attempts of the Ukrainian government to oblige pharmaceutical firms to sell drugs at the prices of previous year.

"It not those plans which investors had, they didn't enter their business - plans. And we couldn't accept it. Such things cause damage to image of the state", - Intriago declared.

Representatives of the Cabinet on a forum didn't arrive to Kharkov, at the same time the power was represented by the Kharkov officials.

On the International investment forum to Kharkov there arrived more than 500 participants from 19-ти the world countries.
