The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the member of fraction of Party of Regions and ex-the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Alexander Kuzmuk declared that the Party of Regions won't vote for the law on transition of army on a contract basis.
He declared it in the comment "To the newspaper on - Kiev".
According to Kuzmuk, today neither financial, nor social conditions for transition of the Ukrainian army on a contract basis it isn't created.
"The army passes to the principle of completing under the contract 10 years. Therefore, it is impossible to pass since 2009 to the contract. Already it is time for all to understand that it is a utopia which has no bases", - I emphasized ex-the Minister of Defence.
"I will undoubtedly hold our fraction from adoption of such decision. All of us remember promises transition of army to a contract basis since January 1, 2008 (it is a question of election pledges of BYuT - an edition)", - Kuzmuk added.
"Unfortunately, today the quantity arriving on contract service is equal to quantity leaving", - Kuzmuk told.
It is known that today the prime minister - the minister Yulia Timoshenko hoped that the Verkhovna Rada will make the decision that since January 1 there will be a 100-percentage transition to contract army.
According to Tymoshenko, it should be considered and provided in the draft of the state budget the next year expenses necessary for this purpose.
At the same time, the deputy minister of finance Vladimir Matviychuk noted that expenses for transition to contract army are partially provided in 1 half-year 2009.
