On September 15 the 17 - the anniversary was noted by the Nikolaev firm "Velam".

"Velam" - the conducting Ukrainian producer of mattresses and sleeping accessories in Ukraine.

Staff of firm in a narrow circle celebrated Birthday, but didn't do and without congratulations from the city management.

So, on this action there was ours all the favourite mayor V. Chaika, after all "Velam" is one of the largest taxpayers in the city. This time, unfortunately for velamovets, did without songs, but Vladimir Dmitriyevich's visit couldn't but leave impressions.

Besides congratulations on behalf of a city administration, the mayor "gave" lecture how the city of Nikolaev develops - kindergartens open, roads are under repair, new buses are bought, the city became purer …

In the performance Vladimir Dmitriyevich told "Velam's" employees that actually pushed him to the decision "to roll up in asphalt on the Soviet 2 million budgetary hryvnias".

"To the City Day we changed asphalt on the central street of Nikolaev. Now at girls who go on Soviet, heels won't get stuck in cracks. More they won't abuse the mayor and to speak what he bad", - was declared by V. Chaika.

We will remind that Soviet is the longest (1,5 kilometers) a pedestrian street on open spaces of the former USSR. And its width in places reaches nearly 16-ти meters.

It was allocated for repair Soviet from the city budget of about two million hryvnias. From the beginning of replacement of an asphalt covering many citizens had a question - why to change quite decent asphalt on a pedestrian street when the majority of city main roads is in an awful state.

Possibly, the answer is simple - "that girls didn't abuse Vladimir Dmitriyevich".
