On Thursday, September 18, expires the term which according to the legislation is allocated for the president for veto application to the laws adopted by parliament on September 2-5, report "Details".
Part of the laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada at this time, arrived in the secretariat of the president on September 8.
As the interlocutor explained, according to the legislation 10 days for veto application to the laws not corresponding to the Constitution of Ukraine are allocated for the president.
The source also reported that according to standards of the legislation the president is given 15 days for consideration of other laws.
The Verkhovna Rada at the beginning of September accepted a number of laws, including changes in laws on the Cabinet, on Security service of Ukraine, on the Constitutional court which significantly reduce powers of the president.
In turn the president Victor Yushchenko declared that these laws are unconstitutional, and he intends to apply to them the veto.
