The president Victor Yushchenko asks the Cabinet to settle problems in the pharmaceutical market of the country.
The Deputy head of the Secretariat of President Marín Stavniychuk told about it at a briefing.
According to her, the corresponding letter was sent to the government still on November 28.
"The president of Ukraine addressed to the Cabinet still on November 28 with the letter, or more precisely the Secretariat at the request of the President addressed to the prime minister - to the minister with a request urgently to take measures for settlement of problems which are connected with the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine", - she told.
Stavniychuk hoped that the government will resolve problem issues and the President shouldn't exercise the right to suspend the resolution of Cabinet of Ministers which limits the total size of margins on drugs and medical products.
She also reported that representatives of the Secretariat on Tuesday met holding a meeting representatives of pharmaceutical branch who under the building of the Secretariat demanded to cancel restriction of margins on drugs and medical products.
As it was reported, on November 19 the Cabinet limited the total size of margins on drugs and medical products of 50%.
