The Nikolaev historians opened new details of the Holodomor of 1932-33 in our region

Today to research associates of Nikolaev there was a presented fourth book of regional volume "Rehabilitated by history. The Nikolaev area", reports a press - service Nikolaev YEAH. This edition again returns readers to tragic events of 1920-1930 connected with the most large-scale repressions and dramatic changes in political and socially - economic life of society. Catastrophic consequences for the Ukrainian people entailed events 1918 - the beginnings 1920-x, policy of moving of the end 20-x years and its consequence - the Holodomor of 1932-33.

At a new investigation phase a group of authors under the leadership of the candidate of historical sciences Sergey Sergeyevich of Makarchuk set the purpose to pass from collecting the separate facts of repressive policy to its analysis, generalization and comprehensive investigation of deep processes in all spheres of public life.

Today considerably the circle of archival establishments in which search and processing of archival materials was conducted extended. In particular, except traditional work in archives of SBU and Nikolaevsk regional archive a significant amount of materials was found in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Branch state archive of Ukraine. From 119 archival documents offered the reader the majority for the first time are involved in the scientific address. As well as in the previous volumes, photographic materials from archival funds - more than 116 names are widely presented. The annotated data on more than 500 inhabitants of Nikolaev who tested political repressions are presented in the fifth section of the book.

The head of a group of authors expressed gratitude for support from the Nikolaev regional state administration and personally Alexey Garkusha.

On behalf of the governor the gratitude to researchers was expressed by the vice-chairman of the regional state administration Dmitry Oboronko.He emphasized that the edition is unique for area and as a whole for Ukraine. Also Dmitry Nikolaevich noted importance of distribution of this work among scientific and educational institutions of Nikolaev, after all the book is calculated on a wide range of readers, students, teachers, regional specialists, teachers of VNZ and everything who is interested in the contemporary history.
