The Verkhovna Rada repeatedly prolonged the moratorium on sale of land of agricultural purpose till January 1, 2010.

399 deputies voted for adoption of the bill No. 3353 taking into account 4 of 5 proposals of the President Victor Yushchenko at minimum necessary 226.

Rada refused to consider Yushchenko's proposal on an exception of the law of situation on extension of the moratorium on sale of land of agricultural purpose till January 1, 2010.

Thus the parliament agreed to exclude the situation allowing Agrarian fund to enable the realization of objects of the state price regulation, using a favorable price environment.

Rada also agreed to exclude the provision on inclusion in the state budget for 2009 of a position about granting a state loan to Agrarian fund for purchase of surplus unrealized in domestic market in 2007-2008 of seeds of sunflower.

As it was reported, on January 14 Yushchenko vetoed the law adopted by Rada which the parliament prolonged the moratorium on sale of land of agricultural purpose till January 1, 2010.

On December 23, 2008 Rada prolonged the moratorium on sale of land of agricultural purpose till January 1, 2010.
