Gays and lesbians complained to the ambassador of Great Britain of the Nikolaev authorities which have forbidden to them to hold mass actions

The ambassador of Great Britain in Ukraine Li Turner and the ambassador of the Netherlands Ron Keller held a meeting with activists of the Ukrainian movement for the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgenders.

About it reports a press - service "Gay of a Forum of Ukraine".

"Questions of freedom of peaceful assemblies and demonstrations were discussed, in particular, a ban on holding public actions of LGBT - community in Nikolaev, attack on LGBT - activists from supporters of the All-Ukrainian association "Freedom" in Lviv, militia round-ups in the gay - institutions of Kiev and Dnepropetrovsk", - is spoken in the message.

As the Novy Region newspaper writes, "The attitude towards homosexual people is some kind of check on a maturity of all society, - noted during a g meeting - N Turner, the ambassador of Great Britain. - The tolerant relation testifies to democracy existence. In countries of Western Europe formation of democracy lasted many years. We hope that such country as Ukraine, with its huge potential, will be able to continue the fast development".
